MY MOM’S HOMEMADE MEXICAN SALSA I So Easy & Simple I Keto Low Carb Low Calorie! Best Salsa Ever


I love sharing my family recipes, so I wanted to share this with you to enjoy. This is a low carb dish, and makes a lot of salsa. You can use this on tacos, wings, chips, anything you want!

This is a traditional salsa usually made in a molcajete, but I made it in a blender today.

5 jalapeños (If you want it more spicy, just use more!)
4 roma tomatoes large
¼ large onion
2 garlic cloves (you can use more or omit if you want)
Salt to taste
1/2 – 1 cup water (depending on the consistency you want)

Directions:
1. Place a sheet of foil on your cast iron to make sure that your roasted veggies for easy clean up.
2. Turn your stove on to medium high heat. Once it’s hot, place your tomatoes, jalapeños, onion and garlic on the foil.You should hear it sizzling right away. Now, what you want to do is roast these on each side until black. I know it sounds crazy, but trust me when I say this does make a difference.
3. Once it’s roasted on one side, flip them. so they can roast on all the other sides. Garlic and onion will be done first, so you can remove those off the pan, then jalapeno and tomato. Remove and place on a plate to help cool.
4. Once done, boil your water. Get your blender out, and add your garlic, salt and onion first. Blend well. Then add your jalapeno and blend. If you want chunks of jalapeno, just pulse it. Then, add your tomato and pulse a few times.
5. Lastly, add your water to the end. It’s time to taste! I added more salt, but of course make this to your liking.
6. Serve with chips, on tacos, anything you want!

¼ cebolla grande
2 dientes de ajo (puede usar más u omitir si lo desea)
Sal al gusto
1/2 – 1 taza de agua (dependiendo de la consistencia que desee)

Direcciones:
1. Coloque una lámina de aluminio sobre su hierro fundido para asegurarse de que sus verduras asadas se limpien fácilmente.
2. Encienda la estufa a fuego medio alto. Una vez que esté caliente, coloque los tomates, los jalapeños, la cebolla y el ajo en el papel aluminio. Debería escucharlo chisporrotear de inmediato. Ahora, lo que quieres hacer es asarlos en cada lado hasta que estén negros. Sé que suena loco, pero confía en mí cuando digo que esto hace la diferencia.
3. Una vez que esté asado por un lado, voltéalos. para que puedan asarse en todos los otros lados. Primero se preparará el ajo y la cebolla, para que pueda quitarlos del sartén, luego el jalapeño y el tomate. Retirar y colocar en un plato para ayudar a enfriar.
4. Una vez hecho esto, hierve el agua. Saca la licuadora y agrega primero el ajo, la sal y la cebolla. Mezcla bien. Luego agregue su jalapeño y mezcle. Si quieres trozos de jalapeño, solo dale pulso. Luego, agregue su tomate y pulse varias veces.
5. Por último, agregue su agua hasta el final. ¡Es hora de probar! Agregué más sal, pero por supuesto que sea de su agrado.
6. ¡Sirve con papas fritas, en tacos, lo que quieras!
