Mayra’s Turkey Recipe

Holiday Turkey

Ingredients:
12 pound turkey
1lb of softened butter
2 tablespoons of mustard
2-3 heaping tablespoons of mayonnaise
2 tablespoon of rosemary
1 tablespoon of sage
2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 teaspoon of poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon of garlic salt
1/4 red onion
Orange slices for cavity

Directions:
1. Wash and dry your defrosted turkey, patting well. preheat oven to 350 on convection.
2 Mix your softened butter, sage, rosemary, salt and pepper. This is your compound butter.
3. Add butter underneath your skin of your turkey breast and on the legs. Use excess butte and coat on the top
4. In your cavity, add your orange slices and onion
5. Add mustard and Mayo on top, close oven bag
6. Place turkey into oven and bake for 2-2.5 hrs. Check each hour to make sure it browning to your desired liking. Once turkey hits an internal temperature of 165F it’s done!
7. At this point, if you want a super crispy skin, broil on high for 5-7 mins.
8. Let rest for 30 mins and enjoy!
